Hip Hip Hooray!!!

I would just like to thank Lily with all my heart, my baby slept until 6:00 am. Yes we did actually have to get out of bed and play with Owen after that but bless her I didn't have to wake up at 2 or 3 or 2 and 3. I was so excited I called Chet at work to tell him my news and he wasn't thrilled. I blame it on the fact that we were supposed to have our Anniversary Birthday Extravaganza this weekend and he got forced to work Saturday we're bummed. It's been bumped to next weekend. Hopefully all goes well.

Growing up

Owen is starting to get closer to the potty training stage. Almost every time he went potty today after he was done he'd walk up to me look me straight in the face and say 'i poie'. So we'd go upstairs talk about please tell me BEFORE. He loves to go sit on the potty. I think he just likes to be able to tell me where to go and I can't say no. My little boy is growing up.

Lily is getting cuter by the day. She is bound and determined to move on her bum. She'll see something she wants lean for it and if she's to far away she sits up shakes her body for a few seconds kicking her legs and then try for it again. She could do this forever I feel bad for her after a few minutes and move it closer. I'm so scared that she's going to start crawling soon. My baby girl can't grow up.

Before I get shot down in a masked raid for not posting pictures here are some pictures of Lily. Owen was taking a nap when they were done so I'll add him in later but her is Tiger Lily playing with her favorite toy a stuffed elephant rattle.

The Zoo

Amazingly Idaho Falls Zoo is not that bad. We went yesterday just to see if it was worth it since we've only driven by a few times. It was nice not like San Diego zoo but still better then we all expected. Owen and Cole were interested in different animals of course. Owen's favorite were the itty's or any cat like creature. He would see a new one and yell itty!!!! The monkeys freaked him out. One of the monkeys would sit in the window right at the boys height and Owen would stand there as long as the monkey didn't look at him once the monkey looked it was all over he'd run away. Of course after the fact we realized we should have brought the camera, next time. Cole lost track of everything once he saw that there was a snap on the stroller he could play with after that we were hard pressed to get him to notice anything.

Sorry it's been a while.. . .

We just had a bit to much excitement going on here. Owen tried to dose himself with some Benadryl. Luckily he is a bad pour and most of it ended up in the carpet, but we took him to the ER since we didn't know how much he had actually given himself. If you didn't know Benadryl in the correct dose is supposed to calm you down and in overdose is supposed to give you a high. Well, the regular dose of Benadryl gets Owen hyper so he was bouncing off the walls. When we got to the ER he had looked at all the toys in a matter of seconds and admired the fish. Thankfully the ER was empty and we got called back after that. Owen got to drink some chocolate flavored charcoal which looked like tar going in and out. My favorite quote for the day came from Chet who said, "How is it after all that Benadryl his nose is still running." Well OK it was second best to,"You know if Lily keeps farting like that shes going to have a hard time finding a guy."

On another note Lily rolled for the first time!!! We are so proud and for the last few nights she only woke up once again I'm so happy.

We've got a sitter!!!

Lily's personal best for sitting unaided is now 5 minutes!!! I know everyone loves her in her little purple chair but so much fun. She just can't get to excited because well when Lily smiles she uses her whole body and ends up tipping over. I would have a picture but Chet stole the memory card to my camera. :(

We are now completely back to normal since the vacation and Trev and Chantal's visit. It took a while but we got a little backed up. Now as August comes upon us we have anniversary (12th), Chet's birthday the big 26!!! (17th), my birthday 24!!! (20th) and somewhere in there Baby boy maybe J.R. Porter is going to be born and we get an overnighter with Coleton! Yeah another boy cousin for Lily and Owen!

4th of July

Happy 4th!!! It doesn't feel like a holiday and I guess this is what holiday's at the porterhouse are going to be like since Chet doesn't get most holidays off. The kids have been crazy lately since were really haven't had a normal schedule in almost a month. I nearly forget the Lily is getting older and she is not a newborn anymore. She is trying to learn how to move although rolling over is not her goal. She'll lay on her side with her legs completely twisted over but if you try to get her to go the rest of the way she'll turn to the other side. During tummy time today she did however get her knees up under her and push forward just a little bit. :) It's so scary she's going to be mobile before i know it and I'll have to be so much more careful.

Owen is so cute, he is learning new phrases. The other day he wanted to run away from the doctors office so he took me to a chair and said, 'Momma sit' and then ran for the door. He is now 3 feet tall and 30 pounds. he is also officially done with shots until Kindergarten. Just the mention of Owen and Kindergarten in the same sentence made me cringe, my baby will never be that old. OK he will be and I'll be excited and scared all at the same time.
