Coincidence . . .

If life wasn't confusing enough for little kids I think nursery will give them all trauma, but I make them go every week anyways.  To begin the easy one . . . Lily is often confused for Lynlee.  Who is a blonde hair, blue eyed little girl, but I think they look nothing alike.  She also feels like I have abandoned her and goes into fits every time we turn down the hall to the class.  I say "Lily. I need to go feed Taylor. I'll be right back."  And she is fine for 2 hours.   

Then onto Owen who loves going to nursery and wants to forget Sacrament meeting altogether so he can go play.  He has a little cousin named Porter he was a bit confused for a minute when we told him.  He kept saying, 'Owen Porter' and then would point to Porter as if to say, 'Now whats his first name.'  Now his little nursery class is growing.  A few months ago they got a Porter and since Owen had a cousin Porter he understood just fine.  We just got a new boy in his class his name is Owen, now all we need is a Daniel and Owen hit the jackpot  his whole name in other kids.

My favorite son . . .

Owen is a wonderful little boy and I love him to death. But as it turns out I am boring him to death.

Exhibit A:

He is doing a jigsaw puzzle upside down. Seriously? I never even thought of that as a kid but apparently nothing here challenges his mind so he resorted to upside down puzzles.

Any ideas to help broaden his mind?

The work of an aspiring artist

Owen loves to color . . . loves to write . . . loves to show off his artwork. Well he finally made it permanent. Isn't it cute . . . oh wait what did he draw on . . . This is our basement walls . . .

Do you see the side of the TV and the screen? Oh yes it goes all the way around the basement. You will never be alone in our basement. Until I get around to painting.

Blessing Pictures

I got everyone new clothes for blessing day and I had to get pictures done. Here are the results.

The day went off without any real issues so I was very excited, until . . . the only problem was that Chet forgot to press record on the tape recorder so instead of hearing the blessing I got to fight with the kids. When I found out I cried. It was also baby girl blessing Sunday Taylor was #4 of the day. It was actually one less then it could have been so it was a very baby oriented day.

Halloween

For Halloween Chet decided to point out to me exactly how wild and crazy I am . . . I started the day baking. I then invited a 2 and 3 year old over to decorate cookies for Taylor's blessing the next day. We took the kids to a church Halloween party and if that didn't show you, well, I fell asleep on the couch at 9:30. Yup wild and crazy!!!

I had one more year of being able to pick coordinating Halloween costumes and this is what we got so super cute for going for scary.

They aren't even posing this is just them being cute. We painted Owen's blond hair black and no one recognized him they realized it was him because he was following me around. In my book that makes the costume a hit! It took an hour and a half to doll these kids up and because Owen wouldn't stop touching his face. So very frustrating!!! But thanks to Clinque's free bonus I have all sorts of face washes and make-up remover my kids jumped in the shower and moments later were completely back to normal!!!
